Resilient Educators Support and Training (REST) Groups: Advanced Group Training for Educators

This group provides an antidote to despair. Meet with other teachers, school counselors and social workers who are often stymied by classes and groups that fail to gel or get stuck in repetitive destructive or unproductive interactions. Using protocols modeled on Parker Palmer’s “The Courage to Teach”, work together in a safe, collegial environment and expand your repertoire of responses to difficult teaching and counseling situations. Through case presentations and role plays, participants develop creative solutions to critical incidents rather than reacting from habitual ways of seeing, hearing and feeling.
